Frida, the dog, has saved 12 lives after the earthquake in Mexico - her story has stolen my heart

The death rate after the earthquake in Mexico on September 19, 2017, is above 270, and according to Reuters, an unknown number of people were injured during the earthquake.


The President of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto, thinks there are still people buried alive under the rubble.

Dog Frida is a beautiful labrador whose task is to put her own life at stake to find and save others in disasters and accidents.

Frida is now working with the Mexican Navy Dog Unit to find survivors in the aftermath of the two terrible earthquakes that have hit the country recently.

In the past, Frida has saved more than 50 people, most of them under debris in Oaxaca.


Frida is six years old and is currently part of the rescue dogs patrol of the Mexican navy.



She saved more than 50 lives, Metro reports.




Frida has her equipment with custom boots and glasses. It may be clear that this is not a regular dog!



Due to her heroism and her commitment to disasters, Frida's story is massively shared worldwide.

Frida was trained from her second year of life and also worked in Honduras, Ecuador, and Haiti to save lives and help people from troubled situations.

She is a real hero and deserves all the gold medals she has received!
