Girl with cancer gets into a coma; then her mother do something heartbreaking on her side

Lindsey Lourenco was a real fighter - and that's not an easy word. In the 18 years of Lindsey's life, she has been fighting leukemia for a total of 6 years.

Every time the little girl had chemotherapy, radiotherapy or a bone marrow transplant, everyone hoped she would finally be released from her terrible disease.

But despite the efforts of her doctors, the trust of her family and her courage - nothing could be done for her.

Lindsey got into a coma and never woke up again.

When this video was made, Lindsey did not have much time left.



Lindsey's mother, Darlene, brought a guitar to the hospital to play another last song for her daughter.

Darlene wrote the song himself. The first time she played it was Lindsey's first bone marrow transplant in 2011.

Lindsey's father, Tony Lourenco, explained the situation to a blog:

"She's now unconscious for almost a week; her pain is virtually under control, and her comfort is our only concern. My wife, Darlene, at the side of my daughter - it was an emotional performance. Last night, I walked into Lindsey's hospital room, and I met Darlene who played on a borrowed guitar and sang for our little girl."

The day after it was recorded, Lindsey lost the fight against leukemia.

I can not imagine how much the sadness of the family should be, but I hope Lindsey heard her mother's song and knew how much she loved.

It is painful and heartbreaking to see Lindsey and her mother like this, but it also has something beautiful in one way or another.
