Diana's photographer saved these pictures for 20 years - now they are public for the first time

For more than 12 years, photographer Julia McCarthy-Fox traveled thousands of miles to take pictures of Princess Diana, with Prince Charles and their sons William and Harry.

Julia has kept these rare photos secret until today.

She decided to publish them as a way to honor Diana, on the 20th anniversary of her death.
Throughout the years, Julia became friends with the princess, who was so much loved.

"Very early, it became clear that Diana had a kind of kind spirit around her," Julia says. "She seemed to look forward to happiness once again."

She continues to shout the princess, "She had a gift to spy someone in the audience who was shy or nervous, and she would make sure she shook her hand and spoke a few beautiful words."

The photos she decided to share with the world were taken in the period 1983-1995 while following the entire royal family for 30 years.

Her favorite picture of Diana is in a red v-halstrui, taken during a visit to the British Red Cross in 1987.

"I spoke to her several times, and although I did not remember what was said, I know how exciting it was to be close to her, ¨ Julia says. The audience remained excited for hours as they passed and everyone had a glow over themselves. '

The royal house never employed Julia. She was just a dedicated photographer in the audience who came close to Princess Diana than most people.

"I have no idea what her secret was, but I know meeting her something was what people never forgot," Julia said. "For a while, ordinary people felt special, and that was a remarkable gift."

Of course, Julia was hit deep when Diana died. It was sad she shared with the whole world.

"When the pretext that the princess lasted on her last trip, flowers were thrown in her path, and when the stud disappeared out of sight, with roses on the roof and flowers on the road, Diana was gone, for the last time, ¨ recalls Julia. "What a dramatic end was that."
